Please note the detailed directions provided, since the location is not indexed well on Google. We would assume GPS maps may not locate it well either, although it is on a main highway and relatively simple to access.
Directions from the Leeward Side:
• Take H1, Merge onto H3
• Exit Likelike Hwy (1st exit after tunnels)
• Stay in right lane and merge onto Kahekili Hwy
• Turn right onto Haiku Rd (at the 4th set of traffic lights)
• Turn left onto Kamehameha Hwy (next to Windward mall)
• You will pass King School on your right and then drive over a small bridge. We are the 1st stop after the bridge. There is a large wooden sign on your right side that says “He’eia State Park”.
• Drive straight through both sets of gates and park in the large parking lot. The banquet hall is at the top of the hill.
The Hawaii Secular Society (formerly HAAFH) invites you to hear:
Secular Coalition for America Executive Director
Our Secular Decade
How Secularists Will Take Over America
The Secular Coalition for America--which held the first-ever policy briefing for Secular Americans with Obama administration officials--lobbies for secular policies in Washington, D.C. Secular Coalition Executive Director Sean Faircloth will discuss how the values of our nation's founders directly connect to the values of the secular movement and how theocratically-based injustices in American law are not an historical artifact -- but rather a stark, current reality that we all have a moral obligation to address.
RSVPs are encouraged, but not required, here: http://www.meetup.com/Secular-Hawaii/calendar/13243902/. This event is free and open to the public.
For further information, contact Randall Bennett via email, PM, or by phone at (808) 294-2947
I'm still working on getting an e-mail sent out to HPU folks about this, so that might not happen. I took it upon myself to try to either affiliate HSS with a Student organization or found a Student Skeptic's Society there so we can help get the word out on future events.
What is that phone number listed in the address?
That is the phone number to the actual office adjoining the meeting hall. Kama'aina Kids bought He'eia Park last year, and somehow they manage the administration.
